2) Save $200 on Rega RP40

Rega RP40 special edition turntable

To celebrate 40 years of Rega late in 2013 the acclaimed UK audio company launched the RP40 turntable. The RP40 is a very limited edition model, with only a small quantity coming to Australia and global production already fully allocated.

The RP40 is based on Rega’s multi award-winning RP3 turntable, but with significant enhancements including:

  • A special edition white Elys40 cartridge
  • A new red silicon drive belt with stable diameter for more uniform speed
  • A custom power supply unit, hand-tuned to each turntable
  • A titanium plinth, stainless steel balance weight and aluminium top brace

For more information download the Rega RP40 Information Sheet

The RP40 retails for $1,799 but for a limited time we can offer it at just $1,595, saving over $200. We bought the last remaining Australian stock of the RP40 but recommend you call us as numbers are limited so they won’t last long.

3) ‘Sleevefacing’ classics

If you haven’t come across Sleevefacing it’s an internet trend involving holding up an LP sleeve over your face or other body parts to create a chuckle-worthy illusion.

Try doing these with an MP3!

You can check out more sleevefaces here: www.flickr.com/groups/sleeveface and here: www.sleeveface.com

There’s even a very cool video clip from ACollective that uses the Sleeveface theme:

4) A Lego turntable that works a treat!

Still on the offbeat video vibe, we had to share this video of a fully functional turntable made out of 2,400 Lego pieces. Skip ahead to 3.01 to get the full specs if you’re tempted to build one yourself!

Lastly, for the vinyl junkie we stock a great range of turntables and accessories, as well as a small collection of audiophile LPs – come on in for a browse or to pick up a Christmas gift for the vinyl junkie in your life!
