New NAD Hybrid Digital Amplifiers

NAD have released three new Hybrid Digital amplifiers that deliver ground-breaking performance and features at very affordable price points. NAD has moved away from the old-fashioned power-hungry linear power supplies and Class AB output stages that waste nearly half of the energy consumed and produce heat rather than sound. The approach now is based on switch mode power supplies and Class D output stages. Once thought to be inferior to traditional topologies, NAD’s advanced work in this area has created some of the best performing amplifiers regardless of design.

NAD C338

The first hi-fi amplifier to feature Chromecast built-in for music streaming, the C 338 (RRP $999) is a highly versatile Class D amplifier designed in NAD’s Classic Series tradition to deliver class-leading performance, connectivity and flexibility at a remarkably affordable price.

Chromecast

With Chromecast built-in the C 338 allows you to stream and listen to music, podcasts, and playlists from many popular apps. Working with hundreds of Chromecast-enabled music & audio apps, users can simply tap the cast button on an iPhone, iPad, Android phone or tablet, Macor Windows laptop or Chromebook to stream music directly to the C 338.

Class D Amplification

The C 338 uses an innovative Class D amplifier, bringing greater clarity and depth to every music source. Using HybridDigital technology, the C 338 amplifier delivers 50 Watts of Continuous Power per channel (into 8 and 4 Ohms) and a remarkable 150 Watts of Dynamic Power at 4 Ohms, all with virtually no noise or distortion.

NAD C368

The C 368 (RRP $1,499) is easily customisable and ready for all future features and upgrades. With the optional BluOS module, the C 368 can connect to your network and be controlled through a smartphone, tablet, or desktop, and connect wirelessly to any other BluOS-enabled device to create a multi-room High Resolution Audio system. You can also instantly connect to the C 368 through Bluetooth, giving you the ability to stream wirelessly from any Bluetooth-enabled device, and if you’re a vinyl fan, you can also add a turntable.

 NAD C388

The C 388 Hybrid Digital DAC Amplifier (RRP $2,299) is at the top of its class in the world of affordable amplification.
