Krix Esoterix Altum

Krix Esoterix Altum Released in September 2017, the new Krix Esoterix Altum is a revelation. Don't be fooled by its diminutive size - this speaker creates a massive, detailed soundstage and packs a low-end punch that makes you look around for the hidden sub.
No joking, this little two-way complete with waveguide and dispersion controlled tweeter is among the best speakers I’ve ever heard. I’m cheating a little here as I got to hear it extensively at the Krix factory in Adelaide recently. Since then, Krix engineers had refined it even further and as it nears full production this is a loudspeaker everyone must audition. - Marc Rushton, StereoNet
In developing this revolutionary speaker, the Krix engineering team paid particular attention to imaging – the meticulously engineered waveguide reduces distortion and controls directivity to present a soundstage much larger than expected and ensures an accurate and detailed stereo image is delivered.

Drivers

Krix Altum The Scanspeak Revelator tweeter has been incorporated into the Esoterix Altum design. This driver is highly regarded throughout the industry for its ability to deliver extreme definition and detail with a very smooth response. The bass and midrange are handled by a 6.5” driver incorporating leading edge transducer technology, highlighted by an innovative cast aluminium basket and large neodymium-iron-boron magnet for increased power handling. The cone is made of natural wood fibre and utilises a proprietary coating to improve clarity and frequency response.
