We now have more music choices than ever before, with more devices in more rooms of our houses. The new Controller app does a brilliant job of making music easy again.
You can now search for an artist, album or song across all your music services at once. No more hunting down that new artist across multiple services because they're not licensed everywhere.
You can create playlists using music from your library and any of your music services - you're no longer restricted to a single music service at a time.
The sleek new design makes everything more intuitive, faster and easier. It's now much simpler to find music and play it across one or multiple locations, or select different music across different rooms.

Important note: if you're not running iOS 6+ or are using an iPad 1, don't update. Some users have had the old app deleted only to find the new app won't run on their device. Sonos update 5.0 is compatible with iOS devices running iOS 6 and higher (certain features require higher versions of iOS)
iPhone 3GS or later
iPod touch 4th generation or later
iPad 2 or later
ANDROID SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Requires Android: 2.1 and higher. Certain features may require higher versions of Android.
How to update to the new Controller App
You may already have received a notification on your device about the update to version 5.0. If so, just follow the instructions to update.
If you haven't received a notification, check in the App Store or Google Play for the update
