Rega have introduced two new turntables, the RP3 and RP6, that cement Rega's place as a leader in turntable innovation and quality.
The
Rega RP3, available now in three colours at $1,099, pushes the performance envelope at its price point, thanks to features such as:
- A hand assembled RB303 tonearm
- A low vibration, low noise 24v motor assembly individually hand tuned to its circuit to further reduce vibration
- A super light weight plinth combined with a phenolic resin double brace to form a structurally sound “stressed beam” assembly
The light weight plinth and double brace assembly is designed to reduce mass and therefore reduce the loss of music energy into the structure. The end result is very impressive and well worth a listen!
If the budget extends further, the Rega RP6, due out in Feb at an expected price of under $2,000, goes a step further.
The
Rega RP6 adds an external power supply and a 16mm glass flywheel platter, and is available in 8 high gloss finishes.
