To meet the expectations of the most demanding music lovers who pay particular attention to the final result of their audio system and who devote a significant part of their leisure time to listening to music, we created the X-A1200 monophonic power amplifier.
Both its musical performance and its understated yet luxurious design command immediate respect from the X-A1200 amplifier. A monophonic amplifier is the ideal solution for enhancing the overall performance of a high-fidelity system.
Indeed, this principle prohibits any interaction between the power supply circuits and amplifier stages between the left and right channels. The high-power supply can be described as "oversized." This term is not unwarranted, given the size of the monoblock, its compartmentalized design, and its power supply electronics, which rely on a 1000 VA toroidal transformer, two power diode bridges mounted on a large heatsink, and twelve 10,000 μF capacitors, totaling 120,000 μF.
Combined with the 10 "very high current" power transistors (NJW0281G – NJW0302G), this power supply allows the X-A1200 amplifier to deliver 450 Watts RMS into 8 Ohms and more than 700 W RMS into 4Ω.
A switch located at the rear of the unit allows the X-A1200 to deliver the first few watts in class A (High Bias mode). Beyond this power level, the switch to class AB occurs automatically and gradually.
The robust chassis design makes it rigid, even when the perforated steel cover is removed. The interior is compartmentalized, which, in addition to increasing rigidity, provides galvanic isolation between the various sub-assemblies, which are installed in a very rational manner.
