Our media player supports direct playback of full 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc images (BDMV and ISO) with menus in Dolby Vision (MEL and FEL), as well as various file formats including MKV, MP4, TS, and M2TS. All popular Dolby Vision profiles (P4, P5, P7 MEL and FEL, P8) are supported. The extended Dolby Vision metadata is used and transmitted to the TV to improve picture quality.
DOLBY VISION VS10 VIDEO PROCESSING
The advanced Dolby Vision VS10 video processing engine ensures maximum image quality when playing any type of content (SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision) with any type of video output signal (SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision), improves the SDR/HDR/Dolby Vision conversion quality, minimizes the effect of “posterization” (“banding”) due to more advanced 12-bit video processing. This gives benefits even when using the media player with older TVs that do not support Dolby Vision.
HDR10+
The PlayerMini is compatible with HDR10+ technology. HDR10+ is the latest and most advanced HDR technology, building upon HDR10 to further enhance the viewing experience. HDR10+ signals not just the dynamic range (the ratio of light to dark) of video content on a scene-by-scene (or even frame-by-frame) basis, it also provides, with minimal metadata, the scene characteristics between bright and dark so that important detail can be kept. This enables displays to reproduce images more realistically, adhering to the creator’s intent. Whereas static HDR, such as HDR10, utilizes static tone mapping uniformly across the duration of the content, HDR10+ employs dynamic tone mapping to optimize each scene, individually increasing brightness and adding contrast to fit within a display’s capabilities.
4K UHD
R_volution PlayerMini is compatible with 4K Ultra HD video content in HDR, HDR10 and Dolby Vision with Source-Based Tone Mapping (SBTM). Your videos can be upscaled to 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution, which is 4 times the resolution of Full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080).

SDR > HDR
The PlayerMini is also capable of transforming any SDR image into ultra-bright, vivid and colorful HDR if your TV is compatible with HDR technology using Dolby VS10 technology.
HDR > SDR
With the integrating VS10 processing from Dolby, any HDR content is converted into traditional SDR with perfect color grading. In addition, the video processing converts Ultra HD video content into extremely high-quality 1080p uncompressed 4:4:4 video for viewing 8K or 4K content on Full HD 1080p displays. This process increases the resolution by about 30% compared to Blu-ray on a 1080p TV or projector. BLU-RAY & 4K ULTRA HD BLU-RAY MENU SUPPORT
Display the Blu-ray and 4K UHD menus and get access to additional content (director’s cuts, theatrical versions, bonus extras, bookmarks, etc.) This feature is compatible with both ISO and BDMV (Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray). Or, if you do not want to display menus, you can start a movie immediately without trailers or warnings. The seamless branching is also perfectly supported for perfect gapless playback on director cut editions. Support for DVD menus is planned for a future update.
USB PORTS FOR EXTERNAL HDD’S
Thanks to its 2 USB ports, you can connect external hard drives, as well as enclosures for multiple hard drives. And if you use a USB hub (not included), you can multiply the number of connected hard drives. And if you are equipped with an R_volution NAS, the reader will be able to recognize the NAS, create the R_video collection and identify your films, all in a completely automated and simple way. The PlayerMini is also compatible with all brands of NAS but in this case you will need to manually configure the access paths to your folders containing your films, series and concerts.

R_video offers the possibility of browsing all of your TV show episodes quickly and easily.
The PlayerMini includes R_video for free — the best entertainment hub available on the market, featuring an impressive user interface to explorer your movies and TV shows. R_video scans your video files located on a local drive connected to your PlayerMini, or on a NAS through the local network. Then R_video collects the cover art, background and various info such as casting, director, release date, rating, etc. Then you will just have to sit back in your home theater with your friends or family, choose your film or TV show easily. Browse a genre. Sort movies by rating, duration, or release date. Read a synopsis. Play the trailer. Then, press PLAY to enjoy your movie. After the end credit roll, wait for the auto launch of the next episode of your TV show. R_video is included with the purchase of the player. There is no need to purchase a subscription.

DIRECT ACCESS & SHORTCUT BUTTONS
Switch instantly from one application to another (R_video or Explorer) using the direct access buttons: image ratio, resolution switch, subtitles, audio tracks, repeat mode, … The remote control of the PlayerMini feature true STOP button, and direct playback access to 1 min. forward / backward and 10 sec. forward / backward.
WIDE RANGE IR SENSOR
The PlayerMini has a high-sensitivity infrared sensor that covers a wide angle over a long distance (60° / 26 feet). Additionally, the PlayerMini comes with IP control codes. This allows you to place your PlayerMini behind closed doors in a cabinet, behind your TV, or even in a professional installation rack in another room while still being able to control it from in front of your TV.
GREAT PERFORMANCE
The PlayerMini benefits from the Hi-End version of the latest S905X4 multimedia processor with integrated Dolby Vision VS10 engine. The main processor includes four ARM A55 cores. Hardware acceleration improves the performance of the R_video user interface and speeds up video indexing. The GPU has been upgraded to Mali G31 MP2. Combined with ultra-fast LPDDR4X and eMMC, this delivers blazing overall system performance.
DC12 INPUT
The R_volution PlayerMini offers a DC12 connector with included power supply. But it also allows the use of an external audiophile power supply (not included) in place of the supplied power supply, to meet the needs of the most high-end home theater users.
